How can I successfully market my new business?
Marketing & Advertising mentor Jay Conrad Levinson responds to the following question from an inc.com user:
What suggestions do you have to enhance a public relations business? I recently opened a small PR firm and unfortunately have not had good success. I am very aggressive and do not give up easily. I would appreciate any advice you can give me.
Jay Conrad Levinson's response: I suggest that you begin to contact business clubs and offer to give talks on public relations for free. I also hope you will consider writing articles about public relations to help establish your expertise. You might write, one at a time, personal letters to ad agencies offering to serve as their PR branch. Get listed on the Web site of your local chamber of commerce, and offer to help the chamber with its public relations for free. The idea is to use your aggressiveness to become well known locally.
