The Real Father Of Video Games

Your story on Nolan Bushnell ("When the Magic Goes," October 1984) was great, and it has me looking forward to the next exciting episode. But it left me with the idea that Bushnell invented video-game technology, and I know that is wrong. Ralph Baer of Sanders Associates is listed on the original patent and is generally given credit for fathering video games.

The industry would be nowhere without Bushnell pushing. But, Atari is still paying royalties to Sanders.
