Organizational (work)style
What gives workstyle its coherence is the company's values, an often implicit set of principles by which the company runs itselt ("Workstyle," January). These values usually have an almost Boy Scout quality to them, exalting such things as hard work, honesty, openness, ethical behavior, and fun. But as abstract as they are, they have a practical function, serving in the absence of rules as guidelines by which employees work and act. Perhaps more important, they are the foundation for loyalty and trust.
