Big restaurants have long had computerized workstations, where servers can send orders to terminals in the kitchen. Now comes the hand-held electronic server pad, which transmits orders directly from tables. Remanco Systems Inc., of Danvers, Mass., bought the basic technology three years ago, when it acquired a company called Validec. Target market: the entire restaurant industry.
