Sign Of The Times
The Catholic Archdiocese of Omaha now sponsors a credit card.
By Inc. staff |
Piety just keeps getting easier. Now, you can support your faith without even going to church. Enter the Catholic card, a credit card sponsored by the Catholic Archdiocese of Omaha and offered through Omaha's Commercial Federal Savings & Loan Association. Like many such "affinity cards," this one has no annual fee and allows a 25-day grace period before the 16.9% interest rate kicks in. The bank, meanwhile, donates a percentage of each purchase to parishes and Catholic schools in the diocese.
Oddly enough, it's not the first church-sponsored card. That honor goes to the PTL card, introduced in 1986 and discontinued last year.
