Two women start a management temp agency for women who want to balance work and family.

Marion Blaum McGovern was hard-pressed to keep up her schedule as a full-time consultant once her daughter was born. She also thought that many other new mothers were in a similar situation. After surveying the market, she teamed up with Paula Reynolds last summer to form M2 Management Maximizers, in San Francisco. The company finds project- and part-time management positions for professionals -- especially women juggling motherhood and career.
