Corporate Contacts acquires and sells coveted corporate telephone directories.
Corporations don't like to give out their internal phone directories, so Stan Grubman figured some people might be willing to pay for them. His home-based Corporate Contacts, in Silver Spring, Md., has begged, bought, and traded its way to some 400 directories, which it sells for about $150 each. Main customers: executive recruiters and stockbrokers seeking potential clients.
