Company keeps watch over the quality of manufacturing done overseas for client companies here in the U.S.

One of furniture distributor Anne Bergl's main concerns about subcontracting work to Malaysia was how to ensure getting high-quality pieces from the factory. When she discovered other distributors with the same worries, she formed a company to help American importers deal effectively with offshore manufacturers. Modulus International Services, with a main office in Chicago, now keeps watch for eight furniture companies.
