Assaults accounted for 20% of occupational deaths -- 1,216 incidents in the United States in one year, according to the most recent government statistics. Homicide was the most common cause of on-the-job death among women. So how do you protect your work force? The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health has published Homicide Alert, a booklet that may help.
