Inc.'s editor-in-chief presents polling results of CEOs concerning who they support in the 1996 presidential race.

We weren't surprised when we polled 133 Inc. 500 CEOs and found that in the presidential race they overwhelmingly supported Senator Bob Dole over President Clinton.

Nor were we surprised to see how many preferred Jack Kemp or Colin Powell to either Clinton or Dole in a hypothetical three-man race.

What did surprise us was the CEOs' indifference to a third-party candidacy by Ross Perot.
