By George Gendron |
We weren't surprised when we polled 133 Inc. 500 CEOs and found that in the presidential race they overwhelmingly supported Senator Bob Dole over President Clinton.
Dole 71%
Clinton 26%
No one 3%
* * *Nor were we surprised to see how many preferred Jack Kemp or Colin Powell to either Clinton or Dole in a hypothetical three-man race.
Dole 37%
Clinton 20%
Kemp 36%
No one 8%
* * *What did surprise us was the CEOs' indifference to a third-party candidacy by Ross Perot.
Dole 63%
Clinton 23%
Perot 8%
No one 6%
