CEOs Gossip About the VCs

The 1,500 entrepreneurs who rank VCs at The Funded have expressed some very strong opinions. Inc. does not endorse these views but is happy to quote them.

 

Foundation Capital
Menlo Park, Calif.

Partners Warren Weiss and Charles Moldow are written off by one entrepreneur as "smart morons." Another wag says that a visit to the firm revealed that "the hot receptionist was the only thing of value" there.

Baker Capital
New York City

The firm has consistently fared badly on The Funded. Comments include "Possibly the worst VC that ever existed," "Without a doubt the worst VC in the country," and "Run...away...quickly."

Sequoia Capital
Menlo Park, Calif.

The firm that brought you Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL), Yahoo (NASDAQ:YHOO), and YouTube has been hit by a surprising number of negative comments. "Too much testosterone?" wrote one poster, while others cited "lots of swearing" and "sharp elbows."

Correction: This story implied that the comments about Foundation Capital came from two different people posting on TheFunded.com. In fact, the comments came from one author.
