Linksys Extends Wireless Access for Small Businesses
Linksys, a division of Cisco Systems (NASDAQ:CSCO), has unveiled a new wireless access point with Power over Ethernet (PoE), designed and priced specifically for small businesses. The Wireless-G Access Point with PoE, WAP2000, is built to improve wireless access in small-business network environments. The new access point adds to Linksys' portfolio of products for small businesses, resellers and distributors that feature Cisco Trade-up Program investment protection.
The WAP2000, equipped with RangeBooster technology, offers improved performance, as well as enough range and speed to double network size and increase throughput by 35 percent. Its capabilities allow for consistent voice and video quality for the deployment of business quality VoIP and video applications.
Priced starting at $169.99, the WAP2000 also employs advanced security features, including Wi-Fi Protected Access, HTTPS secure control, MAC Address Filtering and DES/3DES/AES Encryption.
