BT (NYSE:BT) has unveiled two new encryption solutions that will allow business customers to send and receive sensitive information, such as bank statements and bills, over the Internet without fear of security or privacy breaches.
The new Secure Mail and Encrypted Message Exchange services will run on LogicaCMG's dedicated ASP platform. The technology, designed to run on existing infrastructures, enables users to encrypt a message until it reaches the intended recipient by easily downloading a "secure" button to the e-mail system.
The Secure Mail option is ideal for sending e-mail messages to employees and partners, while the Encrypted Message Exchange is targeted at businesses communicating with large numbers of users via a secure Web portal.
