Business Objects (NASDAQ:BOBJ)  has unveiled its new planning, budgeting, and forecasting solution designed specifically for the mid-market. BusinessObjects Edge Planning provides midsize businesses with financial tools to help align expenditures with strategic business goals.

The new software features pre-packaged applications for strategic planning, capital planning, payroll planning, productivity management and incentive compensation management; visual modeling that lets users manipulate projections; unified planning, reporting, and analysis that reduce cycle time, enabling faster and more accurate forecasting; and standard planning methodologies that allow users to rapidly personalize plans and dynamically add new resources.

BusinessObjects Edge Planning is available starting at $25,000 for 10 users, including first year maintenance, support, and training credits.
