Cisco Introduces Communications Upgrades
Cisco (NASDAQ:CSCO) has unveiled upgrades to its Smart Business Communications System (SBCS), including technical services, increased unified communications capabilities, and four new Ethernet switches. SBCS is sold via the company's small and midsize business channel initiative, Select Certification, which now has nearly 1,000 partners worldwide.
Designed specifically for small and midsize businesses, SBCS is a user-friendly, easy-to-deploy voice, data, video, security and wireless system that integrates into existing calendar, email, customer relationship management programs and other desktop applications.
The SMARTnet Service for SBCS offers multilevel technical support service options, including anytime access to Cisco engineers for configuration assistance and troubleshooting. Cisco's Unified Communications 500 Series now features 32- and 48-user systems. Its new Catalyst Express Ethernet Switches allow for flexible configuration corresponding to networking requirements.
