RIM Unveils BlackBerry Small-Business Software
Research In Motion (NASDAQ:RIMM) has launched new wireless communications and collaboration software specifically tailored and priced for small and midsize businesses.
BlackBerry Professional Software, which integrates with leading e-mail servers, offers a small IT footprint by installing on the same server as e-mail systems, support for Microsoft Exchange and IBM Lotus Domino users, simplified installation, a user-friendly manager interface, advanced security, and mobile data system support so companies can extend internal applications to mobile employees.
Priced at $499 for five users and designed for up to 30 users, BlackBerry Professional Software is available in multiple languages and can easily upgrade to BlackBerry Enterprise Server. To promote the launch, RIM is offering a free five-user package to companies that purchase any five new BlackBerry smartphones until November 30.
