Oracle, Retail Pro Offer Business Intel Solution
Embedding an Oracle database with RetailPro
Oracle (NASDAQ:ORCL) (NASDAQ:ORCL) and Retail Pro, a provider of specialty retail systems for point-of-sale and merchandising for small and midsize businesses, have teamed up to offer Oracle's database and business intelligence solutions to Retail Pro's network of retailers.
Retail Pro customers range from single store retailers to multinational luxury store chains. Oracle BI will provide them with a reliable, secure, simplified and highly scalable business intelligence solution. Combining the Retail Pro application with the embedded Oracle database allows independent retailers to benefit from the same powerful application deployed by large corporations.
Retail Pro with its embedded Oracle database is expected to be available by year-end. Retail Pro Business Intelligence, powered by Oracle BI, should be available in the first quarter of 2008.
