Nexthaus to Deliver Open-Xchange Synchronization for Blackberries
Open-source collaboration software provider Open-Xchange has teamed up with Nexthaus, the SyncML technology unit of Hostopia.com, to enable the synchronization of contacts, calendars and tasks for Open-Xchange Server 5 with BlackBerry devices.
Nexthaus' SyncJe for Blackberry allows Open-Xchange's small and midsize business customers to wirelessly synchronize data from their Blackberry devices via the Open-Xchange Server 5. The application installs directly onto Blackberry devices, enabling centrally stored Personal Information Management (PIM) data to be exchanged between Blackberry devices and Open-Xchange Server 5. Users can sync their contacts, calendars and tasks, and also set an automatic synchronization scheduler.
"Open-Xchange truly understands the SMB market space. Their choice of the Nexthaus SyncJe Blackberry client from Hostopia will enable their users to experience all of the functionality of larger enterprise-level systems at a fraction of the cost," Paul D. Engels, chief marketing officer of Hostopia, said in a statement.
