AmEx Expands OPEN Savings Program
The program allows small-business owners to save on credit-card purchases.
American Express (NYSE:AXP) has expanded its OPEN Savings program with the launch of Internet services partnersYahoo! (NASDAQ:YHOO) Search Marketing and Yahoo! Small Business.
OPEN Savings allows small business owners to save on purchases made at partner companies with their American Express Small Business Card. Program members will receive a five percent discount on Yahoo! Search Marketing's online advertising and promotion services and Yahoo! Small Business services, including Web site hosting, e-commerce, business e-mail, and domain name registration. Other program partners include Delta, Hertz, FedEx, and Logoworks by HP.
"Online marketing has proven to be effective for small businesses, and 55 percent of entrepreneurs use a company Web site as a marketing tool," Raymond Joabar, senior vice president and general manager of OPEN from American Express, said in a statement.
