Ricoh Launches Multifunction Line

The new products incorporate color copying, printing and scanning into a single, compact system.

 

Ricoh Americas (LSE:RIH) has introduced its new line of desktop color multifunction products (MFPs) designed and priced for small and midsize businesses. The GX3000S, GX3000SF and GX3050SFN leverage GelSprinter technology for vivid color, combining the quality and performance of laser printing with the convenience of an inkjet.

The new line of products incorporates color copying, printing and scanning into a single, compact system. It boasts speeds of up to 29 pages per minute, and uses pigment-based inks that are waterproof and sun resistant. The Level Color Mode feature reduces ink density up to 35 percent for graphics and images without affecting the text's readability, and viscous-ink cartridges offer higher yields than other dye-based ink cartridges.

With models priced starting at $549, the new MFP series meets Energy Star guidelines with its energy- and supply-saving features, including sleep modes, duplex and combine copy modes, and minimal ozone emissions.
