Chamber Awards Small Firms

Entrepreneurs recognized for outstanding financial performance, customer services and planning.

A gourmet chocolate shop, a day spa and a sightseeing company were among the winners of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce's Blue Ribbon Small Business awards announced this week.

The annual awards, sponsored by Sam's Club, honors entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence in financial performance, business history, staff training and motivation, community involvement, customer service and business planning.

Among the 55 winners were All Star Movers of Fairfax, Va., Candy House Gourmet Chocolates of Joplin, Mo., Chicago Sightseeing Company, and Faces Day Spa and Boutique in Hilton Head, S.C.

The awards will be presented at this year's Small Business Summit, held from April 16-18 in Washington, D.C. In addition, seven of the award winners will be selected as finalist for Chamber's Small Business of the Year award to be announced on March 7.
