Microsoft Previews New Dynamics Features

The new application will help companies manage compliance obligations.

 

Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) has unveiled some of the new capabilities of Dynamics AX 2009, codenamed AX 5.0, scheduled for release in the first half of this year. AX 5.0 is the latest in the company's portfolio of enterprise resource planning solutions for mid-market businesses.

The new solution will allow companies to better manage their compliance obligations, streamline their processes and facilitate work across geographically scattered employees. New features include a one-stop-shop compliance center, integrated workflow framework, support for multiple languages and time zones, and integration of Microsoft's unified communications platform for real-time collaboration.

AX 5.0 also features more than 30 Role Centers, including two Executive Role Centers. Microsoft's RoleTailored experiences are designed to deliver information relevant to each employee's specific function rather than force everyone to conform to generic templates.
