Nectar Services Launches Hosted Telephony Services
The services eliminates investment in large upfront equipment for small businesses.
Nectar Services, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Juma Technology, has released its new hosted telephony services, designed for small and midsize businesses. The nectar/HTS solution leverages Avaya's (NYSE:AV) IP telephony technology, a cost-effective platform that offers hundreds of enterprise-class features.
The new solution eliminates investment in large upfront equipment and simplifies system management. Its optional Client Side Survivability function allows the customer's local equipment to act as a full-function backup phone system powered by local telephony lines should a complete network outage occur. The nectar/HTS platform also enables the survivable customer premise equipment to be used as a fully functional IP PBX, or as a combination of the two.
"With nectar/HTS, customers benefit from the value of IP telephony and convergence while the experts at Nectar deliver the solution for them," Joseph Fuccillo, president and chief technology officer for Nectar, said in a statement.
