Tech Data to Distribute Parallels Virtualization Solution

Virtuozzo Containers allow channel partners to offer server and operating system consolidation.

 

Tech Data (NASDAQ:TECO) has signed an exclusive distribution agreement with virtualization company, Parallels, to market its Virtuozzo Containers server virtualization solution across Tech Data's network of value-added resellers.

Virtuozzo Containers allow channel partners to offer server and operating system consolidation, business continuity and disaster recovery, a virtual desktop infrastructure with centralized application access, workload management, and application hosting.

"Virtuozzo takes a different approach to server virtualization than many of the leading solutions available in the channel," Bill Portin, vice president of North American sales and operations at Parallels, said in a statement.
