EMBARQ Launches Business Security Apps

The new Business Security Solutions suite aims at protecting business data and other resources.

 

EMBARQ (NYSE:EQ) has unveiled its new Business Security Solutions, a comprehensive suite of products to protect business information and resources. The new solutions address multiple risks with a portfolio of options, including software, hardware and network-based products.

The new portfolio includes desktop security services provided by McAfee (NYSE:MFE) and controlled by a centralized, Web-based management console; network security services, which provide a managed solution for unified protection and compliance; and continuity and recovery services powered by EVault, a Seagate Technology (NYSE:STX) company, that provide businesses with simplified disk-to-disk backup and recovery software.

"Our research has shown that at least half of all businesses believe that data security is one of the most pressing issues they face," Susan Sarna, vice president of marketing and product management for EMBARQ, said in a statement. "No one security measure can protect them from all threats, so we worked with security industry leaders to develop a one-stop security toolbox."
