McAfee, Acer to Deliver Secure Computers

McAfee (NYSE:MFE) has signed a multi-year partnership with Acer to provide Acer computers with McAfee Internet Security Suite with SiteAdvisor. Computers with the security solution will start shipping in the second quarter of 2008, and support more than 28 languages.

McAfee Internet Security Suite offers proactive online security against viruses, spyware and hackers. In addition to integrated anti-virus, anti-spyware, anti-phishing and a two-way firewall, it provides safeguards against online identity theft and features anti-spam.

"McAfee delivers security solutions for consumers on the PC, Web and mobile platforms, and we are very excited to add Acer to our list of global partners," Todd Gebhart, senior vice president and general manager of McAfee's consumer, mobile and small business division, said in a statement.
