D-Link Enters Digital Signage Market
Digital signage provides interaction with customers and office-to-office content sharing.
D-Link has unveiled its new digital signage and alternative advertising solutions. The company will offer both large and small digital signs, as well as a back-end content and advertising delivery system.
Digital signage provides business with a new level of interaction with their customers, as well as a means of sharing visual content from office to office using secure Internet tunnels. D-Link’s solutions for wired and wireless in-store media networks include special hardware and chipsets in the digital displays that allow the configuration of a system of networked display stations managed by a back-end content server. Groups of photos, videos, text, and audio can be scheduled for delivery at each station, while touch screens and keypads enable interactive applications.
"D-Link's entrance into the digital signage marketplace is a natural extension of our total business networking capabilities," Steven Joe, president and CEO of D-Link Systems, said in a statement.
