Cisco Launches TelePresence Systems

The 500 system for small offices offers advanced audio and high-definition video.

Cisco (NASDAQ:CSCO) has introduced two new TelePresence options, a personal system for use in individual offices and a large system room ideal for group training and cross-functional team meetings.

The 500 system for small offices integrates advanced audio, high-definition video and interactive elements with the underlying network. The 3200 system offers inter-company, multi-point and video conferencing interoperability so that customers can scale virtual meetings across their organizations over a converged network.

"Video is rapidly becoming the most effective way to communicate and share information," Charles Stucki, vice president and general manager of the TelePresence Systems business unit at Cisco, said in a statement.
