Xerox Launches New Printers for SMBs

The new NSA provides unified threat management for smaller businesses.

 

Xerox (NYSE:XRX) has introduced a series of new printers and multifunction products specifically designed for small and midsize businesses. The new offerings include the $279 Phaser 3100MFP multifunction printer, the $1,999 Phaser 5550 laser printer, and $1,799Phaser 3635MFP multifunction printer, which comes as a networked system that features image overwriting, encryption and authentication tools.

The Phaser 5550 laser printer includes automated tools for easy installation and service. It comes with PhaserSMART, an online troubleshooting tool that helps diagnose and solve printing problems. The Phaser 5550 produces tabloid-sized prints up to 50 pages per minute for both single and double-sided pages. The low-cost Phaser 3100MFP offers such features as scan to e-mail, a full keyboard for the fax directory, and Optical Character Recognition software for converting scanned documents into text-searchable files. The Phaser 3600 includes Xerox's CentreWare Internet Service technology for easy printer use and maintenance.

"The goal in today's competitive business world is to do more while spending less," Russell Peacock, Xerox Office Group president, said in a statement. "Xerox's portfolio of technology gives these businesses an array of choices to fit the way they work without breaking the bank."
