Personal Income Increases Steadily in September
Oct. 31, 2006 -- Personal income across the country rose by $53 billion, or 0.5 percent, in September, the Bureau of Economic Analysis reported today.
Disposable income increased by $49.3 billion, or 0.5 percent, the report said.
The increases are slightly higher than gains in August, when personal income increased $47.2 billion, or 0.4 percent, and disposable income increased $46.4 billion, or 0.5 percent, the report said.
Income from wages and salaries saw the largest gains, increasing by $31 billion last month, compared to a $10.1 billion increase in August, the report said.
