Census Bureau to Update Employment Data
Nov. 8, 2006 -- The Census Bureau will interview some 70,000 households across the nation during the week of Nov. 12 for the Current Population Survey, an important source of data for business owners.
"The CPS is the primary source of information for businesses regarding the country’s labor force," George Grandy Jr., director of the Census Bureau's Atlanta regional office, said in a statement.
Field representatives will survey select households on employment status, hours worked, earnings, age, sex, race, marital status, educational attainment, occupation and industry, the agency said.
