Cordless Phone with Internet Voice Calling
Nov. 9, 2006 -- Linksys, a division of San Jose, Calif.-based Cisco systems, is partnering with Yahoo Messenger to offer a cordless phone that can be used to make both landline and Internet-based calls, the companies announced today.
The new phone allows users to make free computer-to-computer calls using Yahoo Messenger with Voice. Yahoo Phone Out subscribers can also use the phone to make internet-based calls to traditional or mobile phones, the companies said.
