Tips on Landing Start-Up Capital

Nov. 27, 2006 -- The Small Business Development Center at the University of North Florida is hosting a workshop on how to obtain start up capital on Nov. 28 in Jacksonville, Fla., organizers said.

Entrepreneurs who attend will hear about a range of financing options available for starting or expanding a company, from SBA loans and commercial lending to venture capital and private investors.

The workshop will also cover what lenders and investors look for in a business, as well as how to prepare a funding request.
