Consumer Mood Weakens
Dec. 6, 2006 -- Consumer sentiment inched down in December, according to the University of Michigan.
So far this month, the school's closely-watched index has fallen to 90.2 from 92.1 in November.
Recent declines in consumer sentiment have been blamed on the downturn in the housing market and uncertainty about the long-term strength of the economy.
