New Phones for VoIP
Dec. 18, 2006 -- Linksys, an Irvine, Calif.-based wireless manufacturer, unveiled its iPhone family of VoIP handheld devices on Monday.
The new phones include a notification feature that alerts uses when a contact is available. Other features include access to personal content like music, movies, live video cameras, and other Internet services, the company said.
In addition, callers can alternate between free VoIP calling options from Skype or Yahoo and traditional landline service, the company said.
