Personal Income Growth Steady in Q3
Dec. 20, 2006 -- Personal income in the United States grew 1.4 percent in the third quarter of 2006, according to a release today from the Bureau of Economic Analysis.
On track with the average growth rate over the past three years, the strongest growth was seen in the western and mid-Atlantic parts of the country.
Washington saw more income growth (2.6 percent) than any other state, reflecting a strong quarter for the information industry and large numbers of employees exercising stock options.
