McAfee SiteAdivsor for Firefox, AIM, and AOL Mail

 

Dec. 20, 2006 -- McAfee, the Santa Clara, Calif.-based security-technology company, announced Tuesday the release of a version of McAfee SiteAdvisor Plus that supports Firefox, AOL Instant Messenger, and AOL Mail.

SiteAdvisor Plus prevents consumers from browsing risky websites by providing safety ratings for each website visited, the company said. The software also evaluates the safety of links in e-mail and instant messages, the company said.
