The Postal Service announced plans this week for a new service that will enable commercial mailers to track mail from arrival to delivery.
Jan. 11, 2007 -- The Postal Service announced plans this week for a new service that will enable commercial mailers to track mail from arrival to delivery.
Intelligent Mail, which will be fully operational by 2009, will see standardized barcodes applied to envelopes and container, enabling senders to track deliveries in real time and quickly correct wrongly addressed items or pre-sort errors, the agency said.
