Former Inc. 500 Company Hosts Benefit Concert
Jan. 12, 2007 -- Michael Dorf, the founder of the Knitting Factory, is organizing a benefit concert to celebrate the New York live music venue's 20th anniversary.
Over the past two decades, the Knitting Factory has become a downtown home for the city's improvisational jazz community, as well as the growing alternative rock scene.
As owner and CEO, Dorf created KnitMedia, an umbrella company for the venue that earned him a place on the 1999 Inc. 500 list of the nation's fastest growing private companies.
The benefit concert will be held on March 1 at the Town Hall in New York City.
