Women Entrepreneurs Honored in L.A.
Feb. 6, 2007 -- The Los Angeles chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners will host its annual Leadership and Legacy Award Luncheon on March 16 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles, organizers said this week.
The event, launched in 1986, brings together leading business owners and executives to recognize successful local women entrepreneurs. This year's honorees include Nancy Silverton, the founder of La Brea Bakery; Faye Washington, CEO of the YMCA of Greater Los Angeles; and Ajaya Williams, founder of AJ Kustomz, among other women.
"Our goal is to highlight the power and influence of women entrepreneurs," Helen Han, the group's CEO, said in a statement. "By sharing the success stories of each of our honorees, we have the unique opportunity to further our mission of propelling women into economic, social, and political spheres of leadership."
