Speech Service for BlackBerry Pearl

 

Feb. 14, 2007 -- Nuance Communications released its new speech-enabled smartphone features for the BlackBerry Pearl at the 3GSM World Congress this week in Barcelona, Spain.

Nuance's hands-free technology lets users create calendar entries, dial a contact, play music, obtain driving directions, and search the Web -- all using only voice commands, the company said. Users can also dictate e-mail messages and have them instantly transcribed.
