Wireless Access to Corporate Networks

Feb. 26, 2007 -- Bluesocket, a Burlington, Mass.-based wireless network firm, has a new series of BlueSecure Controllers that give users of laptops, PDAs, and other mobile devices remote access to corporate networks, the company announced Monday.

The new controllers, which support wireless devices and access points from all major vendors, provide users with secure access to data and voice applications, the company said.

To prevent network congestion, BlueSecure Controllers also offer VoIP quality of service and bandwidth management, the company said. Controller models are available for small networks with eight to 150 APs and larger WLAN networks with up to 8,000 users, the company said.

Correction: An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated that Bluesocket was located in New Orleans
