Global Warming Worries Women Business Owners
April 11, 2007 -- Two-thirds of women business owners believe global warming and other environmental changes will affect them professionally, according to Women Impacting Public Policy, a Washington-based policy group.
In a national survey of 400 women business owners, 45 percent said they want to see the government use both incentives and regulations to encourage conservation, while 52 percent said they plan to adjust their business practices to conserve energy, the group said.
"Women entrepreneurs have a unique perspective on national issues because they are the only demographic with their finger on the pulse of both the business and the family wallets," Barbara Kasoff, the group's president, said in a statement.
