Online Job Ads Down
The number of new job ads posted online fell by 94,000 to 4,280,400 in June, the Conference Board reported on Monday.
Despite the decline, online job ads were up 24 percent in the past 12 months, the report said.
According to Gad Levanon, an economist with the New York-based private research group, the gains over past year come as employers are advertising more aggressively in a tighter labor market. "We do not expect economic growth to accelerate until the end of the year, but finding the right employee is already a challenge in many areas of the country," Levanon said in a statement.
