Lawyers Offer Legal Help for Online Businesses
The American Bar Association recently launched a new website aimed at helping small-business owners deal with the complicated legal issues involved in running a business online.
SafeSelling.org provides answers to frequently asked questions from owners about the creation, launch, and operation of an online store or e-commerce venture. It offers information on everything from obtaining a domain name, to protecting customer privacy and regulations for selling out of state or internationally.
"We wanted the site to be intuitive for the typical small-business owner," Jonathan Rubens, the site's editorial director, said in a statement. For more information, visit www.safeselling.org.
