Experian Unveils New Credit Resource
Experian, the U.S. arm of Experian Group, on Monday announced its new online resource, BusinessCreditFacts.com.
Targeted at small businesses, it provides information on business credit and tips on how to establish and improve credit scores.
"Business credit scores commonly serve as the foundation for procuring competitive business loan rates and credit terms from potential suppliers," Marc Kirshbaum, president of Experian's Business Information Solutions, said in a statement. "Having complete and up-to-date business credit information is the best way for small-business owners to obtain favorable financial terms."
BusinessCreditFacts.com allows small businesses to submit requests to update their demographic information, link directly to business credit reports and scores, and to sign up for continuous monitoring of their business credit file.
The site also features a tool that enables businesses to write to their suppliers and encourage them to report on their payment experiences, which can strengthen credit score.
