Discover and Chase Expand Payment Options

 

Discover Financial Services (NYSE:DFS)  and Chase Paymentech have teamed up to offer an integrated payments package to small and midsize business owners.

Integrating Discover Network card acceptance into Chase Paymentech's payments network has resulted in an easy, cost-effective, all-in-one payment processing solution with the convenience of single-source statements, settlement, and customer service, according to company officials.

Research has shown an increasing preference for non-cash payments, with one-third of consumer purchases in the U.S. now card-based. Chase Paymentech has already integrated Discover Network into the merchant boarding process, and expects to have full integration completed and the processing package available to small and midsize business customers in early 2008.
