Microsoft Announces Response Point Phone Systems
Microsoft (NASDAQ:MSFT) this week announced the upcoming release of its Response Point phone system software for small-business customers.
In collaboration with D-Link and Quanta Computer, Microsoft has developed a flexible telephony solution. The Quanta package, starting at around $2,500, includes a base unit with built-in analog telephone adapter (ATA) and secure gateway, plus four phones. The D-Link VoiceCenter system, priced at about $2,999, includes a base unit, ATA, and five phones. Quanta Syspine models are available for preorder beginning Oct. 5, while D-Link VoiceCenter systems will be available in the last quarter of 2007.
Microsoft Financing will also allow small-business customers to pay for fully installed Response Point phone systems on a monthly basis when purchased through an authorized Microsoft reseller.
