Students to Vie for Innovation Prize
The Innovation America Foundation this week launched a contest for high school students aimed at showcasing the future of innovation, organizers said.
Voices of Innovation, which is co-sponsored by Apple, invites teams of students to submit a 45-second video capturing their perspective on innovation and its relevance to their lives. The video must explain how the world can be improved through innovation. Submission will be available in the podcast directory on iTunes.
"Innovation is a critical driver of the American spirit and our nation's economic prosperity," Arizona Gov. Janet Napolitano, the group's honorary chair, said in a statement. She said the contest offers a glimpse at America's future innovators.
The registration deadline is Oct. 19, and all videos must be submitted by Nov. 2. More information is available at www.innovationfound.org.
