Siemens Offers Unified Communications to SMBs
Siemens Communications (NYSE:SI) has unveiled its new unified communications solution aimed at small and midsize businesses. The HiPath OpenOffice ME all-in-one appliance offers companies with 20-150 employees enhanced productivity, mobility and collaboration capabilities.
In addition to mobility, the new solution features "presence status" to allow users to view coworker availability, drag and drop conference management, Microsoft Outlook plug-in, call journal, voice and fax message boxes, personal auto attendant, live call recording, and dial from any application.
HiPath OpenOffice can be installed in hours with no additional IT investment required. It will be available nationwide next February beginning at $270 per user.
